Ususally I don't talk about politics openly because the people around me almost always seem to appear uncomfortable. Even Kamila refuses to comment on the current affairs of the state. Personally, I could talk politics all day, so I can not help but expose my personal thoughts and feelings on this year's historic Presidential race. For the first time in history, a woman and a black male are running to be on a major party's ticket.
While I agree with most of her plan's and causes, and she is married to my favorite President, I can not see myself voting for Hilary Clinton for several reasons. The first is the fact that she looks a little butch. Yea, she is a symbol of empowerment, and leadership for women, but, right now she doesn't look like a woman. This statement is bold I know but, I am probably not the only person that feels this way. The second reason is she doesn't appear to be a friendly or inviting. To me she comes off cold and rigid with no personality. The third reason and dealbreaker why I can not vote for her is; she voted for the war in Iraq. I can not support anyone who sided with the Bush administration and entered our country in a pointless and violent crime, driven by the rich to make themselves even more rich. The final reason I will not get down with Clinton is the fact that she is a woman. As a woman, I would not feel comfortable with a woman making decisions in office. Women think in a completely different way than men. We think emotionally first, and logically last.
Obama on the other hand, said no to the war, has a very warm and inviting personality, clever, humane, and is not bad to look at. But is America ready for a black president? Hell, would the the rich, white landowners that have always secretly controlled America even allow Obama in office to happen?? Although he will be getting my vote, in the election and hopefully a rescheduled primary, I think it is a lost cause. They (the Man) will never let a black man be number one in America, they are giving us false hope so we should be prepared when Obama does not make it or assasinated in his first days, months, in office. I hate to spoil dreams but come on people, be real. Here is what is going to happen, McCain wins, Guiliani his VP. Another republican as president, more republican decisions. People think that there will be a major shift in American politics because of the 2008 elections, but I know better. It is true that the American people are shifting, but America's political make up never will. How else will the rich get richer, or the minorities continue to be ten steps behind? The hidden dictatorship should be in plain view now, as we see how many Americans, white, black, latino, asian all are fighting to see things change but our efforts are of no use because things will always remain the same. They want it to look like change is coming and we are falling for it.
